Merry Christmas! ( A Day Late)

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas yesterday, or a fantastic week of Hanukkah. After three days of eating and fun with my family it will be back to the chess grind in Saratoga Springs. Hopefully things will be more like my last trip there in March, then my previous trip last December. Yes indeed, I'm returning to the scene of the crime, The Empire State Open.

Merry Christmas Polly ! I'm sure Atomic Patzer and Jim West envy your soon to be accomplished task of playing in a chess tournament within all 48 states in the Continental USA in the year 2009.

BTW nice draw with Jim West !

Merry Christmas to you, two days late!

Good luck in my old stomping grounds of Saratoga Springs.

DB: The tour of all the states is going to take more then 2009 to complete. I anticipate 2 new states in 2009, unless I find a patron who wants to underwrite my knight's tour of the USA.

CT: If I had won last round game I'd come in 2nd for under 1800 prize, but lost a tough one. But still a decent tournament.
